British Council

Scotland is the first country in the world to have dedicated a full year to celebrating the achievements of young people, and showing how important and valued they are. With so much of our work dedicated to opening up international opportunities to young people all over Scotland, we are delighted to have played our part in this important year.

In partnership with Scotland's national youth agency Young Scot, we launched GlobeScotters in June 2018 to share a positive message around international experience and opportunities. The aim was to inspire a global outlook among the next generation to help enrich their lives, improve their education and employment prospects, and make new cultural connections.

Download our report below to find out more about what we, together with a host of young Scots and partner organsiations, managed to achieve and learn.

We also have a list of currently available British Council international opportunities on this page - see the table below for the latest updates.
