We recently caught up with teachers from Williamston Primary and Penicuik High School to hear how the British Council’s Connecting Classrooms programme is helping them to develop their classroom practice and share ideas with like-minded teachers all over the world.

Connecting Classrooms professional development training gives school teachers and leaders the knowledge they need to embed the teaching of Learning for Sustainability in Scotland, as well as core skills across the curriculum. The programme also offers professional partnerships grants, which let teachers travel to partner schools overseas and collaborate on projects face-to-face.

The Connecting Classrooms Professional Learning website gives teachers access to continuing professional development courses and resources to support the integration of global citizenship and international work in their schools. All educators, whether new to working in an international context or already actively involved in a school partnership, will find support to deepen their professional experience.

Forthcoming course dates for the fully online course are:

16 March – 26 May 2018

20 April – 29 June 2018
