Presented in partnership with the National Galleries of Scotland, this event brings together leading curators and practitioners from the Caribbean and Scotland to consider some of the concerns and ambitions of the Caribbean’s dynamic visual arts ecology and to explore the region’s developing connections with the visual arts sector in Scotland.
We would be delighted if you would join us for an evening of presentations and round-table discussion, followed by informal networking over drinks.
Presentations from:
Holly Bynoe, Chief Curator, National Art Gallery of The Bahamas, Nassau, and co-founder and director of ARC Magazine
Tiffany Boyle, Curator and co-founder of research-led practice Mother Tongue, Edinburgh/London
Christopher Cozier, Visual artist and independent curator, Alice Yard, Trinidad and Tobago

Round-table discussion moderated by Remco de Blaaij, Curator, CCA: Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow.

Complementing this event is an exhibition of photography from Nevisian artist, Stacey Tyrell, presented in the Pig Rock Bothy at Modern One. Curated by Mother Tongue in collaboration with the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, this display opens on Friday, 20 November at 6pm.
